How to Update Adobe Acrobat & Google Chrome Manually

On Microsoft's Patch Tuesday, both Adobe and Google usually release updates, too.  Updating Google Chrome is especially critical if that is your web browser.

So let's start with Adobe Acrobat.  The following screen shots are from the full Adobe Acrobat app, but the steps are identical for Adobe Acrobat Reader.  This one is very simple, I think.

You begin the Adobe process by clicking HELP from the main menu.  Then click Check for Updates.

On update screen, Acrobat will either immediate begin downloading the update, which I can't show because my Acrobat is up to date.
After updating, you will notified of the current version, and that app is up to date.

Google Chrome isn't really anymore difficult.  That said, this part of the tutorial will show more steps because my Google Chrome did need to update.
To get to the Update screen on Chrome, first click the 3 Dot Control button.
Next, Click Help.
Then About Google Chrome.

When you click About Google Chrome, Chrome will immediately check for an update.  If there is an update, chrome will begin the download and installation progress.  You can watch the update progress

Once Chrome has finished updating, you will be prompted to RELAUNCH Chrome. Relaunch is Google Speak for Restart Chrome.

When it all wrapped up, you will be notified Chrome is Up To Date.

Now, don't you just feel squeaky clean all over?
