More Fun With the Fabulous and Fantastic Free Microsoft Photo App Previously, we took a look at the basics of Microsoft's Photo app. Now we will take a deeper dive into the image enhancements features of MS Photos. To open the enhancements menu, click the 3 Dot Control.
A right mouse click opens a menu of basic commands. Here you can easily and accurately resize an image.
The computer and the application can make a more accurate resizing of the image with no distortion. Notice the Quality control. I was using that at first. But to make the highest quality, the application restricts the magnification. That is the why the first images of the first postings are smaller. If I enlarged those images too much, the images were noticeably degraded. So as I stopped using it.
Another feature you might find fun, is Photos has a quick method for using your gorgeous image as your desktop wallpaper, or make your own lock seen image.
The Photos app has a good collection of exposure and contrast control. Open the toolkit by clicking the 3 dot control.
When you click the edit image button, a new screen opens. From that menu bar, click Filter. A screen will open that displays a number of automatic enhancement effects.
You can sample different types of B&W effects. Below is B&W Warm which lends a sepia effect.
The add 3d effects menu opens up a number of animated effects you can use to add drama to your masterpiece.
Here the Comet Trail effect has been added. The animated effects creates a mp4 movie file. Click the link to see the film. http://www.eppresents.com/Newsletter-Feb13-2022/Sam-Blue-3dComet-Trail.mp4 Animated text can be added to your movie. http://www.eppresents.com/Newsletter-Feb13-2022/Sam600.mp4 Next time we will look at how to make an actual movie from individual files.
