Introducing Google Enhanced Safe Browsing
Well, Bless Their Little Pea-Picking Hearts2.

Google now offers enhanced web security if one so wishes to be more secure.  The new feature is not turned on by default, however.  To enable the Enhanced Safe Browsing feature, first log into your Google account.  If you use Gmail, then you are probably already log into your Google Account.  Once logged in, click your first name initial to open your account settings.  Click Manage your Google Account.

Below are the Steps to enable the New Feature

Once your are logged in, click security from menu on the left.  Then scroll down to Security. Click Security.  Scroll down to Enhanced Safe Browsing for your account.  If off, click Manage Enhanced Safe Browsing.

The next page will display a brief description of Safe Browsing.
The button to Turn on Safe Browsing is in the Lower Right.

Click Learn More and Detailed Explanation of each feature will be displayed.

Two pages of more detailed explanations of what Safe Browsing does are available.

Another feature of Safe Browsing is a quick check to see if your Gmail Account has been part of a data breach.
Click Run a scan with Google One.  You can purchase a monitoring plan, but I am not recommending that.
And, yes, I already knew that the Gmail Account had been involved with breaches.

I have found two major players to be really stepping up now on trying to keep their customers as secure as possible.  Microsoft is One. And the Other is Google.  This Safe Browsing is no panacea — there are no panaceas.  But turning this on can't hurt anything.  Unless. of course, you commonly surf websites known to be unsafe.

Buckle up, Buckle up,
Buckle up for safety
