Go Update Office Yourself;
Last year, I posted
CheatSheets on
How to Update Windows. I then followed that
article with another CheatSheets on
How to Update Google Chrome and Adobe Reader.
These CheatSheets are consistently among the most frequently requested pages of the
Dispatches, according to the Web Stats. So, as a follow up, and
because Microsoft released major updates to Microsoft 365 (formerly
Office 365) the week of February 27, 2023, I offer How to Update Office
Manually. All users of Office of any flavor should do this as soon
as possible.
When you come to the Account page, click the Update Options button.
And then click Update Now.
The current update is a major update. The update can take about 15 minutes or more to install. That can seem like a month if you just sit and stare. Microsoft says you can continue working. I think, however, it would be a good time for lunch or coffee or whatever. But walk away from the computer. When you return, you will see this screen below. And both you and your computer will be happy. Simply close the application.
Updating is kind of my religion.
To put off your old self, |
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |
