October Is Not Only CyberSecurity Awareness Month Of course, we all knew October was CyberSecurity Awareness Month; but did you know it is also the month when everyone dresses up in their scariest finest to both party and terrorize the countryside? Sure, Sure you did. Well, below are a few suggestions of mine for some Spooky Cyber Halloween Party Games.
KnowBe4.com describes itself as "your platform for new-school security awareness training." KnowBe4 bases its training on the "Kevin Mitnick Security Awareness Training (KMSAT)." The late Kevin Mitncik went from the notorious "World’s Most Wanted Hacker," to the rehabilitated security consultant to the Fortune 500. Similar to CISA, KnowBe4 also offers a free downloadable CyberSecurity Awareness Month Resource Kit User Guide. KnowBe4, however, blends October as CyberSecurity Awareness Month, and October as Super Scary Halloween. The theme of its Cyber Awareness campaign centers on five super scary cyber characters. The overall point is not unfamiliar to readers of The Dispatches: "Think Before You Click."
The Resource Kit also comes with posters that
summarize some tip on CyberSecurity issues.
The Resource Kit comes with several tip sheets on various topics concerning CyberSecurity issues. The full 16 pages offer a panoply of tips, advice, links to videos, white papers, and much more. If the CyberSecurity Toolkit from CISA isn't quite spiffy or a scary enough for you, give the Resource Kit from KnowBe4 a try. Then host your Cyber Awareness Monster Mash-O-Palooza. Be There. Or be Scared! Boo-Ha-Ha!
