More Windows 11 22H2 Postscript — Post-Installation
Copilot?  What CoPilot?  We Don't Need No Stinking Copilot!

Microsoft has sunk more money into its AI program than the GDP of many small countries.  And, I am sure the people at Microsoft would be shocked to know someone might not want this Giant Leap Forward at their fingertips, or on their Taskbar.  Nevertheless, The AI powered CoPilot is easily turned off.

First ,one must be sure Copilot is installed and active.  Copilot shows up right next to the Searchbox on the Taskbar, as shown to the right.  So, it is indeed logical that the control to turn Copilot On or Off, would come from Taskbar Settings.

Right click on the Taskbar and a two item menu pops up.

Click Taskbar settings.

That will open Settings → Personalization → Taskbar

Turn CoPilot Off, or to turn it back on, simply move the slider to the left to turn off, or to the right to turn back on.

And your Taskbar is how it was before all this Moment nonsense.

Update 10/02/2023
I have decided to turn Copilot off.  It can be brought up with a KB combination of "Windows Key + C."  When I need the AI to answer a question, I will use MS Edge to go to the Bing website.
